Thanks for the pointer. You have an interesting facility to generate test cases. However, it would require a CAM template for CALS tables, including a correct description of colspans and rowspans. Otherwise the test cases would not be reliable. Such a template seems hard to make, since colspan and rowspan carry over to the next columns and rows, and affect the allowed entries and their column names.

You can use OASIS CAM toolkit to generate OASIS test cases - both valid and invalid XML instances - and you can use the content hinting system to make realistic test cases.

You will find the OASIS EDXL examples in the download.
