We've just released Restlet 1.1 with new features for XML. See full announce

We have added extensions to work with JAXB and JiBX technologies
(serialization between XML and Java object) and also enhanced our core
Restlet API to support XML schema validation and SAX-pipelined
transformations, providing a welcome higher-level API on top of JAXP, SAX,
DOM and other XML related APIs provided in Java libraries.
