The NLM Tag Sets for journal articles (Authoring, Publishing, and
Archiving) are all available in DTD, XSD, and RNG forms. They do not
specify which form is normative, and they are pretty closely
parallel. see: http://dtd.nlm.nih.gov/

These tag sets have been widely adopted by journal publishers,
journal article resellers and archives, and libraries.

I find it interesting that a survey of Tag Set users showed that
virtually all were using the DTD expression of the constraints and
more interesting that most thought they should, and in the future
probably would, use one of the other versions.
