Looking at IEEE Internet Computing, I was surprised and pleased to see
the following article on REST and SOA, written by Steve Vinosky of Iona,
but very favorable toward REST:

http://dsonline.computer.org/portal/site/dsonline/menuitem.9ed3d9924aeb0dcd82ccc6716bbe36ec/index.jsp?&pName=dso_level1&path=dsonline/2007/01&file=w1tow.xml&xsl=article.xsl&;jsessionid=GJwgJjlL2LQTyvCrpLYy47WyNpf9JX4ddbvkWrKZytc4p74Trdqp!2126031611

It's a defense of REST for SOA people from a SOA expert. In his own words:

> In this column, I try to explain REST from the viewpoint of someone
> steeped in SOA, with the intention of helping SOA people understand
> the value the REST camp so rightfully touts.
