It is, but probably in a much more limited way then Word needs. You can
add revisionflag attribute to every DocBook element. This attribute can
have the following values: changed|added|deleted|off. There is
stylesheet named changebars.xsl in the DocBook XSL stylesheets
distribution which is able to visualize elements with revisionflag in a
usual way -- different colors for added/deleted parts and so on.
