Of course, this might not be a document but that is another permathread. Geometric Markup Language (GML 3.0, 3.1) Where XSD sees a lot of use is in the GML profiles for GIS applications. In fact, once past the UML diagrams, these guys are totally dependent on XSD features and namespaces for creating profiled aggregate schemas for their applications. They use XSLT between a GML Core Schema Set, a dependency analyszer, and a Schema Builder that takes a list of components as input plus the output of the analyzer to create an output schema. At least in 2004, GML applications such as LandGML use XLink/XPointer. len
