In another reply I described the sunset query as a classic example how SQL
evolved to support content-based querying. That was 10 years ago, so let's add
500,000 XML documents to the mix.

Consider what you'd have to do to accomplish that query with a file system. Are
you going to do an unindexed search of 500,000 documents? Are you going to
visually review a half-million images or Base64-encode them and use XPath?
