Let us look at a simple example, we look at a large
collection of XML documents, and found
in 25%, the ordering of the nodes is A C
in 50%, the ordering of the nodes is A B C
in 25%, the ordering of the nodes is A B B C

Someone study that and says, the schema is equivalent
to AB{0,2}C, completely ignoring the probability
distribution.

Another person study that and says, the state
transition matrix is AC=1/4, AB=3/4, BC=2/3 and
BB=1/3.

Would you rather have the schema or the state
transition matrix? In fact, base on the matrix, ABBBC
can occur with a probability better than 5%.
