Like synthesizer keyboards that provide different sounds 
given a touch sensitive key.  That's been around for a long 
long time.  But I suppose it being a different domain, 
the genericness of the idea isn't an issue for the patent.

Have they never come across auto-repeat on keyboards?

How long before they rediscover buttons that are pressure-sensitive and try
to patent those?
