And if this had been written in the UK, it would be focused on UK entries.
"Parochial" views are held worldwide; *most* folks apparently don't realize
they hold them.

A wonderful view of the internet as an all-American institution. Amazing.
The worrying thing is, one gets the impression the people who paint this
kind of picture don't even realise how parochial their world view is.
