I think so, but then one really wants an application specific editor 
after all. For instance, I'd much rather draw SVG in Adobe 
Illustrator than in any text or XML editor. I would rather write 
books by hand in jEdit than use a word processor, but I'm weird. Most 
people would prefer something like Word or OpenOffice Writer.

I haven't heard of anyone doing it yet, (though NetBeans might in 
4.0) but the Ant use case is probably better served by an specific 
ant editor.
