That's what I get for not chopping the CC list. Gotta
wonder what the results for an unconsidered web service
connection will be. This weekend I fixed a Delta single handle
shower (don't buy these puppies) faucet and reversed
the direction of the handle so I could get to the
hex screw (well-named it seems). I got to work late because
when all I got was cold water the next morning, I thought
the water heater had fritzed. D'oh!

Do I want an enterprise application built with the
same ease of hook up scenario? Sure, but *I* might
not want to repair it.

Attempts to program-by-Visio are legendary. It MS can
pull this off, it will be a sea change in organizations
that have layers of personnel doing RFP analysis, configuration,
costing, proposal, and so on.

Homer sez: "Easy to use; hard to fix."

Since you sent this anyway: :)

I don't think that SOA is the end of the application programmer at all.
However, SOAs will require a bit of a different mindset in that one will
be invoking Web Services rather than software modules (at least I think
that that is a different mindset).
