John Cowan opined that the 9-argument genxStartTag call was like a 
non-object-oriented bad dream and should be kiboshed.  Someone else 
pointed out that if you added just one more "textContent" argument you 
could write a whole leaf element in one fell swoop.  I'm leaning to 
going with John and nuking it.  The amount of extra work to call a 
routine for each attribute seems likely to be less painful than the 
work in setting up all those arrays in 98% of cases.

Anyone disagree? -Tim
