I'm still fairly new to XML and have yet to try out many of the xml/xsl editors. I find myself going back to simple text editors for most of my needs. However, if you are looking for a great text editor that supports syntax highlighting, and many other really helpful features, including the ability to create and/or download plugins to enhance the interface at a great price, I highly recommend HTML-Kit: http://www.chami.com/ There are already some plugins that facilitate XML, including tidy. You can also configure it to integrate your own custom controls into the interface. I haven't done it, but I'm sure it would be simple enough to tie a schema or dtd validator into it to quickly validate xml. Actually, I just looked, and it appears that they have a plug-in for that now : http://www.chami.com/html-kit/plugins/info/hkxmlv/ I guess the main drawback would be that it is currently only a windows app. (Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4, 2000 and XP) Chris Strolia-Davis Database Specialist Contractor - CDO Technologies Inc.
