I tried something new this year: I had 'breather' slides interspersed
throughout the presentation. Each one had an offbeat quotation or two from
the epigraphs in the O'Reilly book the presentation was based on.

This gave the audience a chance to catch up (and gave me a chance to sip
some water). As a result, however, the slides don't stand alone well. To
compensate, the official paper (which is only on the CD) is arranged as a
reference to all aspects of XForms.

the rest of us should probably have something meaningful/memorable on
the screen so that the audience gets some benefit even if the speaker
is less than riveting entertainment.
