There's a recurring demand for "forward motion" in a lot of circles,
which generally seems to place more emphasis on getting things done
rather than getting things done right.  

(Asking for the latter is ingeniously described as "stop energy".)

There are some pretty enormous cultural issues that make using
technology appropriately difficult at best.
