Once a month or so Andy holds a meeting in this area (RTP, NC) and
we discuss topics of interest to programmers. That XML was applied
in ways that seem gratuitous was raised more than a few times, and
at least once I argued that what programmers were doing with XML
was missing the point.

So I'll sit back and applaud. While I don't agree with all of Dave
and Andy's arguments or conclusions, I enjoy seeing the discussion
going in this direction, and advocated by programmers.
