Once a month or so Andy holds a meeting in this area (RTP, NC) and we discuss topics of interest to programmers. That XML was applied in ways that seem gratuitous was raised more than a few times, and at least once I argued that what programmers were doing with XML was missing the point. So I'll sit back and applaud. While I don't agree with all of Dave and Andy's arguments or conclusions, I enjoy seeing the discussion going in this direction, and advocated by programmers. - Mitch Sean McGrath wrote: > Quote: > "XML is useful in appropriate contexts, but it is being grossly abused > in most of the ways it is being used today." > > Here is the most XML-ish part: > http://www.artima.com/intv/plain4.html > > Full article starts here: > http://www.artima.com/intv/plain.html > > My take?
