I just finished writing a piece with a similar (if gentler) thrust for my next 
installment at ADT.  My specific quarrel was with wizards rather than APIs, 
but I think the points are complementary.  There is no substitute for 
competent programmers and transparent operation.

Just nice to see that others are of similar mind.
