Sorry, my missinterpretation of Dare Obasanjo's post (it was 3 in the 
morning for me...). I thought that in the case of

<p1:root xmlns:p1="URI1"
          xsi:schemaLocation="URI1 schemaLocation1
                              URI2 schemaLocation2" />

only the schema for the first namespace URI was located.
