This is sly, but not sly enough :-) The entire subtext of HLink is as a replacement for XLink. That is how it has been pushed by the HTML WG. It has to have been so, because if not, there would have been a flood of complaints that the WG was balkanizing the linking space. The WG could easily have developed a better solution, and still couched it in terms of XHTML. This would satisfy the letter of the charter, and at the same time help justify the abandonment of XLink. -- Uche Ogbuji Fourthought, Inc. http://uche.ogbuji.net http://4Suite.org http://fourthought.com Apache 2.0 API - http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-apache/ Basic XML and RDF techniques for knowledge management, Part 7 - http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/xml/library/x-think12.html Keeping pace with James Clark - http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/xml/library/x-jclark.html
