Yep. And if they don't, vendors have to maintain all of the stuff they sell or until they can convince the buyer to change. That is the danger and penalty for implementing too far ahead of a spec being published. Again, count the penguins. MSXML Core Services still support XDR and that will make it a royal pain to get the locals to move on as long as they believe it is doing what they need. It really gets expensive maintaining an "evil empire" because nobody trusts anybody, therefore, we have to pay for all the mistrustful, opportunistic solutions everyday whether we need them or not.
