He's not terribly bright about standards, but he got this one right:

"The real economic question is going to be, what is easier to support and maintain? And where do you 
get leverage? I think the jury is still out on that."

I've met Tony a couple of times at conferences and he's really 
level-headed.  He's got an interview at CNet, they drill down a bit on 
standards and politics and organizations in the last third of the interview.
