Up through late 1995, the Yahoo server was 800 lines of C code whacked 
up by Filo.  HTTP is not hard to implement even today, at the protocol 
level.  If you want to do it in a general-purpose way with application 
dispatching and good performance, yep, the problem is bigger. -Tim
