Thanks for the info. I've taken a cursory look at XPackage, but have not
delved into in any depth at this point.

The syntax still feels unweildy to me, but I don't think I could
persuasively argue that an extended link variant of RDDL would have much
advantage in this regard. Certainly, I should delve into this deeper before
reinventing the wheel and trying to do something using extended links that
really just replicates the functionality of XPackage. It does look like
XPackage may be a good fit for the sort of use cases I had envisioned.
