> Security through obscurity is the worst kind of security there is. Given > enough time, someone will always figure out what you are trying to hide. Although, I find it surprising how the pendulum swings the other way, and people start saying "security through promiscuity". You want to know that the door and lock on your house have been peer-reviewed by experts, tested to industry standards, and so on. But that doesn't mean that you hold an open house every weekend so any stranger who wants can stroll through your house and see where you keep the milk and cookies.
