Thanks.  Got the new version and everything is wonderful.  Now I wish I
could remember where I found the link to download the old version so I could
let them know... ;-)

That's incredibly ancient - from before the Schema spec was published.
It's probably not recognizing the schemaLocation at all because it's
not in the namespace it expects (one corresponding to the then-current
draft of the spec).

Get the current version from http://www.cogsci.ed.ac.uk/~ht/xsv-status.html
or use the web interface at http://www.w3.org/2001/03/webdata/xsv.
