My translator will use any encoding supported by the Java VM.  The syntax 
itself assumes you have a sequence of Unicode characters; it doesn't care 
where they came from.  For example, you might have embedded the schema in 
an XML document, or in a Java String, or it might come from a MIME entity 
with a charset header.

Yes.
