Yes, as long as the designers are experienced 
and can prune the wishlist to the *most* likely. 

There is some guesswork, but by the time you 
get around to the third generation, not as much.

Yes, but ... What can be good is to anticipate what you think is likely to
come and then to make sure the design can support it when you do decide to
implement.
