I don't think this is a direct result of stupidity and ignorance. If you
habitually deform human language (e.g. to make prose normative), then your
semantic mapping is likely to get distorted, and things that appear alien to
everyone else start to appear sensible. Who knows where purely informative
formal specification will lead...
