The Oracle XML SQL Utility, shipped pre-installed in
Oracle8i 8.1.7 (the latest production release) or
downloadable separately from:

http://technet.oracle.com/tech/xml/oracle_xsu/

supports any JDBC driver and when working with
the Oracle JDBC driver supports the full range
of Oracle8i object/relational features for
turning SQL query results into XML. It features
SAX2, DOM, String, and Stream-based interfaces
to processing the XML query results.
