Huh?  If you mean Linus Torvalds, as I suppose, one of the reasons
for the success of Linux is that Linux is very Posix, probably more
Posix than any other Unixoid (because it didn't need to support a
pre- and anti-Posix installed base).  In general, free software
tends to be more standards-compliant.
