Sorry about all the dropped letters (and occasional words) in my last few
messages.  I'm not sure exactly what happened except that I think Pine did
some pre-transmission mangling (I'm using Pine over SSH to a remote
terminal since I can't convince the XML-DEV listserv to accept my
messages if they come from my main computer).
