Yes.  It may be perverse if names have names have names but legal. 
This is how MIL-n-87269 did system/susbsystem trees for 
interactive tech manuals.  We did at one point go into 
the SGML Declaration and limit the recursion depth.

Actually, there is a case where you see names with names 
in the public safety industry:  Also Known As (AKA) aliases. 
It can be represented as a recursion or as an involvement (XLink).
