Many people seem to want visual tools for defining XML<->XML
transformations. I am exploring such tools, and trying to decide which use
cases I should pick to evaluate them.

IMHO, one tool for all possible transformations seems an unlikely dream. I
suspect that there are probably classes of transformations that are the
bread and butter transformations used in particular domains. What would be
a good way to identify a set of such domains and the transformations
generally used in them?

For instance, where can I find sets of XSLT stylesheets typically used in
real-world applications for a particular domain? DTDs and schemas for
domains seem to be widely available, but getting a broad sample of
stylesheets has been more difficult. For instance, Robin Cover's sample
stylesheets (http://www.oasis-open.org/cover/xsl.html#examples) don't
include much of this. I couldn't quickly find libraries of stylesheets on
either Biztalk.org or XML.com.

Any thoughts?

Jonathan
