Hello everyone,

The issue of "Disabling DTD load" had come up in the past.

The only solution offered (which I am aware off) was using: XCatalog /
EntityResolver with xerces.

I would like to know if there other means to solving the problem?
Particularly, anything parser neutral?

[ The problem in brief:
   Parser loads an XML instance.
   XML instance has a reference to a DTD (public / system ids present)
   So, parser loads the DTD for entity resolution (even when
non-validating)
   If the computer is not connected to the network, too bad
