If you take a look at:
http://www.w3.org/History/19921103-hypertext/hypertext/Conferences/ECHT90/In
troduction.html
It tells you about the conference that kind-of started it all off - ECHT90.
Also, if you look at the last modified date for
http://www.w3.org/History/19921103-hypertext/hypertext/Conferences/ECHT90/St
andardisation.html it brings up "3rd Dec 1990". That is the earliest example
of HyperText I can find on the Web to date, as as such it appears that the
3rd of this month will indeed be the tenth anniversary of the WWW/HTML as we
know it!

Absolutely!
