I4I sells a product called S4Text that uses MS Word as an XML editor. It is
actually a toolkit that allows you to map toolbar buttons to XML elements,
modify menus, etc. There is a demo application, a tagless editor, that you
can download from the website, www.i4i.com, to get an idea. Caveat: I work
for I4I.

Hope this helps,
Jakob.

| Subject: XML Editor recommendation?
|
|
| Dear all,
|
| We have a client which is a small group of journalists wishing to
| create XML
| content. They are not used to using mark-up languages and they currently
| use MS Word for their documents. They need a user-friendly editor that
| takes the hard work our of creating XML files.
|
| The editor doesn't have to be free, but it does have to be aimed at the
| general population (not programmers!).
| Something like MS XMLNotepad doesn't cut it.
|
| I'm sure some of you will have been in a similar situation. If so, would
| you mind sharing your recommendation?
|
