Hi, The people from Excellon (former ODI) have implemented a permanent info set on a memory mapped object data base. From what I understood, an XML document is parsed and then stored as an internal structure. This internal structure is kept in a memory mapped area. Thus, it seems that the only possible bottleneck here is the page fault that occurs when more than one document is processed at the same time. I am curious to listen to what the Excellon people have to say on how they are managing the page fault or how their stuff compare to other engines (Java and C++ based) for a certain transformation. I know, that some of the Excellon people are lurking and sometime participating to the list. So, can you give us some input on this? This could help us better understand the implementations issues. cheers Didier PH Martin ---------------------------------------------- Email: martind@n...
