For those of you to want to discuss standards in a meeting instead of
online, there are two opportunities coming up:

1. XML community public meeting (Doubletree Hotel, San Jose, November 13,
8:30 p.m.)

2. A standards update at XML 2000 (Washington, D.C., December 5)

In both cases, there will be speakers discussing the role of W3C, ISO,
OASIS, and other organizations.
