without having read _anything_ on XSLT i think i can do this but
want to make sure before telling my boss...

can i use XSLT to convert xml data to/from fixed record data?
i get a text file that has records that are always 250 chars
long (lots of filler characters). can i use XSLT to convert
those records to xml data? can i use XSLT to write out those
records?
