would I be entirely wrong to think that transmeta could do well here
("here" = xml-specific devices)
because it allows a mix of hard- and soft-wiring 
that might be better suited to a continually-developing language
which also needs fast processing?

excuse my naive use of words -- no expert (but you knew that)
