After reporting on IE5/Mac's XML features
(http://www.xml.com/pub/2000/05/03/msie/index.html)

I'm a bit mystified to hear some odd rumors:
(from www.macintouch.com)
>Two MacInTouch sources offered more confirmation of Microsoft's
>dissolution of the Mac OS Internet Explorer team
>
> [Source 1] "I have friends who worked on the IE5 team.

> yesterday's report], the team has in fact been broken up,
> there are no plans for future Mac versions of IE, and many
> team members are looking for new jobs, both inside and
> outside MS."

I've been recommending IE5/Mac lately to Macintosh developers wanting to
use XML - this would have a definite (chilling) effect on such
recommendations...
