What: SAX2/Java final prerelease testing (feature freeze)
When: Two weeks ending Wednesday 3 May 2000

The final prerelease version of SAX2/Java is available for testing at

  http://www.megginson.com/SAX/SAX2/

This is a feature-freeze version -- all requests for feature changes
at this point will be politely ignored, while bug reports (either code 
or documentation) will be gratefully accepted.

There will be a two-week test period, ending on Wednesday 3 May 2000.
Barring major unforseen problems, it is my intention to release the
final version of SAX2/Java on Friday 5 May 2000.

Please note that this deadline does not apply to the SAX2-ext
distribution (containing DeclHandler and LexicalHandler), which is now 
separate from the SAX2 core and will follow its own schedule.

Thanks to everyone who has put in so much time testing and discussing
SAX2: it's looking very good.
