The Last Call period begins 6 December 1999 and ends 27 December 1999. The W3C Membership and other interested parties are invited to review the specification and report implementation experience. Please send comments to www-xml-linking-comments@w... [...] Abstract This specification defines the XML Pointer Language (XPointer), the language to be used as a fragment identifier for any URI-reference that locates a resource of Internet media type text/xml or application/xml. XPointer, which is based on the XML Path Language (XPath), supports addressing into the internal structures of XML documents. It allows for traversals of a document tree and choice of its internal parts based on various properties, such as element types, attribute values, character content, and relative position. --------------------------------------- Daniel W3C Staff contact for the XML Linking WG -- Daniel.Veillard@w... | W3C, INRIA Rhone-Alpes | Today's Bookmarks : Tel : +33 476 615 257 | 655, avenue de l'Europe | Linux XML libxml WWW Fax : +33 476 615 207 | 38330 Montbonnot FRANCE | Gnome rpm2html rpmfind http://www.w3.org/People/all#veillard%40w3.org | RPM badminton Kaffe xml-dev: A list for W3C XML Developers.
