Nice challenge, Simon. What I'd like to see by way of results is: [1] tools to bring real-life HTML into XML, so it can be manipulated via DOM and SAX. [2] visual xpath expression editors, so that the expression can be edited in the context of a document, DTD or schema; and with a good visual metaphor for clarifying xpath's implicit type conversions.
