It's really simple, XML-DEV needs a weblog. UserLand would be happy to host and provide browser-based editorial tools if someone wants to lead. (The tools even use XML!) I've already been pointing to selective messages from XML-DEV on Scripting News, esp ones from Tim Bray about big hairy servers.
