Pretty interesting set of links, Avi, thanks!

Seems to me that XPath http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath has taken over instead
of XQL.  There are several XPath libraries available, including mine which
I'll be releasing soon.

There's also XML-QL and various implementations, many of which you can
find on the excellent Free XML Software list:
