Consider: <!DOCTYPE foo [ <!ELEMENT foo ANY> <!ATTLIST foo a NMTOKEN "x"> <!ATTLIST foo a NMTOKEN "*"> ]> <foo/> The second attribute declaration is ignored. But is it still a validity error that its default value is not an NMTOKEN?
