The intention is not to demonstrate embedded images in e-mail, rather how
embedded image may be represented as base64 encoded data in an XML document,
or further how a MIME message is transformed into XML.

That being said, I do, of course, have software to display this using XSL
and HTML... currently I am doing the XSL conversion on the server and the
messages come out as straight HTML pages ... is this at all interesting to
people? I can also produce a XML/XSL document which can be transformed on
the client i.e. in IE5b2 ... currently, XSL doesn't help transforming a
base64 encoded text element into a jpeg file for client viewing so the
server needs to pull off the jpeg and send it as a separate document... if
there is interest, I can set up either/both as a demo...

so far the best pictures have come from the folks in australia :-)
