I invite the XML community to try and look at
ChordML. The purpose of it is to define a way for people to exchange simple
music with simple lyrics and chords.
I posted it DTD and a sample xml file
at http://www.cifranet.org/xml/ChordML.html.
  There is a brief description of the project at
this page too. Comments and suggestions are more
than welcomed. 
 I became 'hands-on' xml only recently,
although I felt in love with it since CDF was
released.
